Composer John CoriglianoApril 27, 2010 — EVANSTON, Ill. — A master class, a spring opera and four concerts — including one at Chicago's Millennium Park on Memorial Day weekend — will spotlight the works of multiple award-winning composer John Corigliano. The events are all part of the Northwestern University Henry and Leigh Bienen School of Music's festival saluting the composer.

The John Corigliano Festival runs from May 12 to May 30 and includes performances by the University's Symphonic Wind Ensemble, University Chorale, Northwestern University Symphony Orchestra, Bienen School students and guest artists.

Big Ten NetworkFebruary 24, 2010 — EVANSTON, ILL. — For the third time this broadcast season, The Big Ten Network will feature the Northwestern University "Wildcat" Marching Band today in a 30-minute special called Gameday.  The program will air at 2 p.m. CT; the network is available on most cable and satellite TV providers. 

Big Ten Network crews followed NUMB during the 2009 band camp in August.  They also filmed the band in performance at last October's homecoming game, which also included the NUMBALUMS, the band's alumni association.  While on campus, Big Ten Networked interviewed the Wildcat Band's director, Daniel J. Farris, as well as several of the band's members.

September 5, 2009 — EVANSTON, ILL. — The Wildcats' Growl silenced the Tigers' roar as Northwestern's football team flattened Towson by a score of 47-17.  Northwestern's score was its best in a season opener since 1944.

Lake the PostsCurrent and alumni members of the Northwestern University "Wildcat" Marching Band played from the Ryan Field stands, and the NUMB Drumline performed on the field.  NUMBALUM Brittany Petersen (J09), a recent member of the band's SpiriTeam, discussed the early-season appearances of NUMB on the Lake the Posts football blog.

Push On!May 1, 2008 — EVANSTON, ILL. — Folks who go wild whenever the Northwestern University 'Wildcat' Marching Band strikes up a fancy drum line cadence between plays or makes precision forms during halftime at Ryan Field finally have something to satisfy their NUMB desires.  Push On!, the latest installment in a series of recordings featuring the Wildcat Band, is now available.

Wheel of FortuneApril 21, 2008 — EVANSTON, ILL. — The Chicago audience cheered as the Northwestern University "Wildcat" Marching Band debuted on the long-running and popular game show, Wheel of Fortune.  The programs featuring the Wildcat Band will appear on network stations throughout the country and around the globe next week, from Monday, Apr. 28 to Friday, May 2.
