Note: This item represents the bundle of BOTH the Pride AND Guts poster together.
First printed in 2012 for the Northwestern University “Wildcat” Marching Band, this is a line-art poster created from a photograph of the marching band, taken by NUMBALUM Tom McGrath of TCMcG Photography.
The motto of the band is “P&G,” coined by John P. Paynter, who served as Director of Bands at Northwestern from 1953 until his death in 1996. P&G has commonly been referred to as “Pride & Guts,” but as JPP’s son, Bruce Paynter, mentioned, “…P&G was never defined by its originator, who always answered the question of ‘what do the initials stand for’ with 'If you gotta ask, you’ll never know.'”
The limited-edition posters are signed and numbered, and they are created with sturdy, archival press printing from White House Custom Color.
Each poster is 11" x 17"
